Our Guides
At The Missoulian Angler Fly Shop we select our guides for their willingness to share their intimate knowledge and depth of experience on the local rivers, their ability to teach to all levels of anglers, and their enthusiasm for the sport of fly fishing. These are the guides we choose to fish with when we have the chance to fish for ourselves. We expect you to enjoy all your time on the water with our guides, get the most out of each day spent fishing with us, and return from your Montana fly fishing vacation with stories to tell.
| Russell Parks, Owner/Guide |
Russell made it to Missoula at the end of 1999 and quickly realized this was home. After completing graduate work in Ohio, where finding trout was difficult yet possible, the local waters within minutes of downtown Missoula made the decision to stay easy. Russell's career in outdoor and therapeutic recreation provided him the opportunity to expose people of all ages to the unique challenges and experiences wilderness settings have to offer. He holds certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician and CPR/First Aid Instructor. Using this background, he is focused on developing The Missoulian Angler into a friendly, high quality, customer oriented business that consistently produces for its clients. |

Not everyone gets the chance to do what they love for a living. Not a day goes by that Casey is not thankful for having the chance to live and work on the water of Western Montana. Casey landed his first fish with his grandparents when he was three and he's been passionately chasing fish ever since. Casey landed in Missoula several years ago on a hunch after serving in the Air Force in Colorado, Georgia and Texas and has no intention of leaving now. Casey is no stranger to the art of instructing new anglers. He has a wealth of experience teaching in the outdoors and leading river trips as a field instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School. He has traveled, taught, and fished on rivers all over the western US and Canada. Casey is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy with a degree in Civil Engineering although he prefers to focus his technical skills on picky risers these days. Casey's Montana Outfitting License is #10341.
