What to Expect

At the Missoulian Angler Fly Shop we pride ourselves in providing you the most out of your guided fly fishing experience. You will meet your guides at the shop on the day of your Montana fly fishing vacation to buy licenses and any odds and ends you might need for the day. Guides will provide transportation to and from the shop and a shuttle for your float. On full day floats, guides will provide a delicious shore lunch on the river. Be sure and let us know if you have any special dietary need when you book your trip.

Depending on the stretch of river, you can expect to spend the day floating in a drift boat or a raft fully outfitted for comfortably fly fishing from the boat. Your guide will row you on the fish and find the best spots to stop and wade. Your guide will provide you just the level of instruction you need to put fish in the boat whether it's your first day on the water or you've been at it for a lifetime. At the Missoulian Angler Fly Shop we think a day of guided fly fishing should be an experience to savor-the guide will handle all the details and you can focus your attention on the fishing and the spectacular scenery that surround our rivers. It is your Montana vacation and our goal is to provide top-notch service, catch fish and have fun doing it, whether it be instructing a novice or catering to the accomplished angler in search of the trout of their lifetime.
