Russell Parks hails from Texas originally and has worked and played in the outdoors from a very young age. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences, and then received a Master's in Science from Miami University, Ohio. Focusing on Outdoor Education for the next several years, Russell worked for different university, therapeutic, and private programs.

As the owner of The Missoulian Angler Fly Shop, he continues to educate on the water as a Montana fly fishing guide, seeks to provide a quality experience in the retail environment, and develop lasting relationships through fly fishing.

Russell currently is a board member for the Fishing Outfitters Association of Montana (FOAM), and The Trout Conservancy of Montana, a local non-profit organization dedicated to conserving and improving Montana’s wild trout populations. Russell is also a Pro Staff member for Montana Fly Company.

Ask Casey what his favorite river is and he’ll tell you it’s the one he’s on right now.  As comfortable guiding anglers slapping Salmonfly patterns in pocket water while threading the rapids of the middle Blackfoot in June as easing anglers into position for the perfect cast at mayfly sippers on the lower Clark Fork in October, his passion for the pursuit of wild trout on the fly will infect anyone that steps in his boat.

Casey is a river professional with over a decade of experience in fly fishing instruction, wilderness medicine, swiftwater rescue, and outdoor education.  A day on the water with Casey draws on experience from major rivers across Montana as well as the rest of the American and Canadian West including work as asenior field instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).  Casey is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and served as an Air Force Officer before following his passion for fishing and hunting to Western Montana.

Casey currently sits on the board of the Fishing Outfitters Association of Montana (FOAM).  He is a Pro Staff member for Ross Reels, Hyde Drift Boats, and Montana Fly Company.  Casey was a featured guide in the September 2007 issue of Men’s Journal and a featured guest on Peter Greenberg Worldwide in October 2009.
