Rock Creek January 30, 2012
Flow: 212 CFS
Hatches: Streamers, Nymphs, some midges
Comments: The Creek has been fishing fairly well lately. Nymph rigs including Copper Johns, Rubberlegs, worms and princes have been getting the most attention. The lower has been the most productive lately as spring water entering the creek will keep water temps a bit higher. SPRING SPECIAL: $325 FULL DAY GUIDED TRIPS (2 ANGLERS)
Clark Fork River January 30, 2012
Flow: 851 at Drummond, 1270 at Turah, 3080 below Missoula, 3140 at St Regis
Hatches: Midges
Comments: Fishing on the Clark Fork remains fairly localized. Stick to the river just below town to find some fish up on midges on warmer days. On the other end, Warms Springs is a great winter option, as the water stays the warmest on the whole river. Stick to Scud/sowbug type patterns followed by midges. It has just started to fish well up here. SPRING SPECIAL: $325 FULL DAY GUIDED TRIPS (2 ANGLERS)
Bitterroot River January 30, 2012
Flow: 287 CFS at Darby, 1180 CFS at Missoula
Hatches: Midges
Comments: Flows are up and down a bit on the lower river, but the fishing remains fairly consistent. The mid and upper river is seeing decent fishing with nymph rigs including Worms, Red copper johns, small rubberlegs and double bead stones. The river near Missoula has seen some pretty good midge fishing on top, mostly in the flats. These fish can be picky, so sometimes dropping a small zebra or disco midge under a midge dry will get em'. SPRING SPECIAL: $325 FULL DAY GUIDED TRIPS (2 ANGLERS)
