It’s Gonna Be Toasty Out There
The forecast for the nest few days looks hot and bright. Triple Digits in the very near future. That means if you have plans to fish you better be on the water early or late. The mid day will be tougher in the bright sun. But don’t let that stop you. The reports from the folks on the water every day has been either good or great.
There have been lots of bugs on all the river. PMD’s, Caddis, Drakes, Goldens, Sallies, and more. Lots of great dry fly action. We put the boats in the Lower Clark last night after the shop closed and didn’t get them on the trailers till 11:30. The dry fly action was insane. Big trout eating caddis until we couldn’t see the fly.
So get on the water at sun up or stay out till dark. Avoid that mid day heat and you will be set.
