Bitterroot River

The Bitterroot river fly fishing continues to produce as water levels are dropping in to a good range. Still a little high for the wade fisherman on the main river but the upper stretches are where you want to focus your time for wading. The lower, middle and upper have produced well for our boats this week. Hatches consist of Golden Stones, Yellow Sallies, PMD’s and Hoppers.

Blackfoot River

The Blackfoot River fly fishing has been great lately with a mix of hatches like Hopper’s, Golden Stones, PMD’s and Yellow Sallies. Flows are still above average but dropping quickly. Fish are starting to move into their summer lies in the heavier runs and faster outsides.

Clark Fork River

The Clark Fork River fly fishing has picked up in the last week with some great dry fly fishing from top to bottom. PMD’s, Yellow Sallies, Golden Stones and Hoppers are all on the menu as of late. Flows are still well above average but clarity is good and fish are happy.

Rock Creek

Rock Creek fly fishing is still well above average which is making wade fishing tougher then usual. Focus on the upper stretches for more manageable wade fishing as the water is smaller up top. For hatches, focus on PMD’s, Golden Stones and Yellow Sallies.
