Located only a half hour from town, it is a “Must Do” for families visiting Missoula. The Locsha River is a short drive over Lolo pass into Idaho and offers over 60 rapids, some reaching Class V and even Class VI depending on Runoff. If running the Locsha seems a bit too daunting, making the beautiful drive up Highway 12 and joining the spectators to watch the rafts go through the rapids is a great afternoon for the whole family.
