Bitterroot
The Root is running high and should stay that way for the next few weeks. Plenty of good tributaries up this way that will fish good. West fork is high but still one of your better options.
Blackfoot
The Blackfoot is high and off color. Give it a few weeks and it should turn to that nice green color that we all love to fish. Tributaries up here such as Monture, Clearwater, Gold Creek, ect…. will be good options if you head up this way.
Clark Fork
Most of the Clark is high and muddy. The upper end is at above average flow but it has pretty good visibility and is a decent option at this point.
Rock Creek
Rock Creek is high but good clarity. Salmon Flies have shown up on the lower end and should begin to push up this upcoming week. Don’t hesitate to through a big dry out there even if you are not seeing any adults. Our guides have been up here a lot in the last week or two scouting it out and they have had plenty of fish eat the orange indicator indicating that they are ready for the big orange juicy bugs.
