FISHING REPORT 6/20

Bitterroot

The upper Root isn’t a bad option right now. Flows are high but clarity is  good. Nymphing has been the main game but fish are also starting to look up to Salmon flies, Golden Stones and Green Drakes. The West Fork and East Fork are good options as well.

Blackfoot

The Blackfoot is that nice green we love to see and fishing is picking up in a big way up there. Lots of Salmon Flies hatching from mid to Upper river along with a few Golden Stones and Green Drakes.  Flows are high so extend the distance of your float or pull over and nymph the inside bends if you want a full day.

Clark Fork

Most of the Clark is high and muddy. The upper end is at above average flow but it has pretty good visibility and is a decent option at this point. give the middle another week and it should be game on.

Rock Creek

Rock Creek is high but good clarity. Salmon Flies are still holding strong on the upper creek and Golden Stones are hatching top to bottom. This is the time we all have been dreaming about for months. The fish are more then willing to eat just about any big orange pattern out there. We have been running single dries from start to finish up there and that has kept us busy all day with willing fish.
