Bitterroot River
The Bitterroot river is on the rise after the recent rain and might be tough fishing today. With the extended weather forecast, we expect flows to level back off and good fishing to follow. There has been Salmon Flies on the upper stretches and Golden Stones throughout the system. Green Drakes are starting to show up on the cloudy days too.

Blackfoot River
The Blackfoot River fly fishing has been pretty good lately. Before the cloudy/rainy weather we were seeing Salmon Flies starting to hatch and the fish ate the dries pretty good regardless of the weather the last few days. The weather forecast is looking good for more active Salmon Flies and more willing fish. The streamer fishing has been great with a lot of big fish eating closer to the banks in the cloudy weather.

Clark Fork River
The Clark Fork River is starting to come around with fair clarity but the river is on the rise right now and should be your last option for fly fishing Missoula area streams. Should be in much better condition by the end of this week and into next week.

Rock Creek
Rock Creek fly fishing has been great lately with Salmon Flies, Golden Stones and Green Drakes hatching. With the recent rain, the flows are bumping and should slow things down today. Look for the flows to level off in the next few days and dry fly fishing will continue to produce. Focus on nymphs and streamers until things level off.
