The Bitterroot is flowing at 370 cfs, which is just above average for this time of year. Temps have been in the mid-60s and have not triggered any restrictions. The river is fishing well from Darby to the confluence.
Tricos have been coming off consistently in the mornings on the Bitterroot. This is one of the best trico rivers in the state, producing pods of rising fish that will test your skills and your patterns. Match the hatch carefully and focus on presentation over fly choice. Rusty spinners and comparaduns in 18-22 have been working.
