How’s The Fishing?

Montana spring fly fishing starts early in Missoula!

While the Skwala Stonefly gets a lot of press, and the Bitterroot River a lot of attention, spring fly fishing in Missoula has a lot more to offer.

Hatches of Western March Browns, Blue Winged Olives and Nemoura Stoneflies can be found amongst the Skwalas, up and down Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River.

When the dry fly action wanes, you can get down and deep with a big streamer, and find the big boys waking up hungry from their winter fast, especially on the Blackfoot River.

As always, the nymph fishing is excellent, and the most consistent way to bring fish to net.

If you’re in Missoula this spring—whether you live here or are just visiting—this package is for you. We’re offering a day on the river at a lower rate than peak summer, and as any local knows, spring fly fishing in Missoula can be some of the best of the year. Here’s a tip: when the weather looks good, give us a call. Spring is quieter than summer, so booking last minute is easy. Call on a Tuesday, and you can be floating by Thursday. Of course, you can plan ahead, but don’t let short notice keep you off the water. Traveling without gear? No problem. Our guides have everything you need. A deposit is required when you book your Montana fly fishing vacation. Your deposit is refundable in full if the trip is cancelled 30 days prior to the date scheduled.

Within 30 days, the deposit may be applied to a trip booked within one year of the original booking.

Full payment is required on the first day of day trips and 14 days in advance of overnight trips.

Rates are subject to change without notice, but a deposit locks in current rates.
