Collection: Best Spey & Trout Spey Rods

Two handed rods have found a real home in Montana. Trout spey has taken over the winter and shoulder seasons here, swinging soft hackles and small streamers through the walking speed runs of the Clark Fork, Bitterroot and Missouri, and a full spey rod is the tool of choice when the steelhead itch takes you west. This collection covers the whole range: 2 and 3 weight trout spey rods for our home rivers, switch and one hand spey rods that split the difference, and full length spey rods with the backbone for winter steelhead and salmon.

If you are new to the two handed game, a 3wt trout spey around 11 feet paired with a Skagit head is the easiest way in, and it will change how you fish November through March. Line pairing matters more with two handers than anywhere else, so if you are unsure on grain windows, call the shop at (406) 728-7766 and we will set you up with a balanced outfit.
