How's the Fishing?: 5/5

The fly fishing on the Clark Fork has been great lately, with golden stones, yellow sallies, PMDs, and green drakes all hatching. The dry fly fishing has been excellent.

We've got some cooler, cloudy weather in the forecast later this week, and that should only improve things. When the clouds are out, focus on green drakes. The stoneflies like golden stones and yellow sallies won't be as active in that weather, but the green drake hatch on the Clark Fork during cloudy days is incredible. The fish go crazy over it, and it's well worth heading out to battle the cooler, cloudier weather.

Anyone who gets out and fishes through this cool spell will be rewarded with some of the best dry fly fishing of the year. The streamer fishing should pick up with the clouds rolling in too.
