Welcome to the Missoulian Angler’s

Clark Fork Skwala Fest 2020

We’re raising money for Trout Unlimited’s Clark Fork River Project, dedicated to improving fish populations and habitat in the upper Clark Fork River watershed. Our Clark Fork fishery is sitting at 20% of its historic level, and Trout Unlimited is determined to restore it to its full potential. The money we raise will be used to continue the good work being done to restore the Clark Fork River.

TU’s Clark Fork River Project is a multi-pronged program that focuses on protecting and restoring cold, clean water and habitat to the river and its tributaries. Their boots-on-the-ground work with landowners and other partners encompasses water conservation, habitat improvement, abandoned mine clean up, and fish passage reconnection. TU has over 15 years of restoration experience in the Clark Fork Basin .

We’re asking you to help launch the first annual Skwala Fest with a bang! On April 4th, Missoulian Angler guides have donated 12 guided fishing trips. Cost per seat is $275, with proceeds going toward TU’s project work to restore the Clark Fork River fishery. To sweeten the deal, Winston has donated a 9’ 5wt Pure Fly Rod with the event name Skwala Fest 2020 engraved. Anglers that contribute $275 to float will automatically be entered into a raffle for that rod, with a 1 in 24 chance of taking home a new Winston.

The Missoulian Angler will also be throwing a Skwala Fest celebration and fundraiser the night of April 4th. Come down and enjoy some exceptional food, good beer and better company. While you’re mingling, bid on some of the awesome and unique raffle prizes that will be on offer. We say the party will start around 4:00, but you know us. The party starts with the first raffle ticket sold!

We’re going hard for Clark Fork conservation this year. The Missoulian Angler has supported the awesome job TU does on our local rivers for years and knows how important these projects are to the river. We want to hand these fisheries down to our kids and grandkids in better shape than we found them. This is a perfect opportunity to gather for some well-earned frivolity for a very worthy cause. And as you donate to help the Clark Fork, enjoy your day on the water aware that TU will leverage an additional $30 for every dollar you contribute to Skwala Fest.

The Float

It’s more than a seat in the boat, and a shot at winning a Winston Rod. Some of Missoula’s finest guides have donated their services and talent to raise money for the Clark Fork. Your full day on the water includes all your bugs, leaders and tippet, as well as getting you to and from the river. The lunch will be excellent, and the fishing should be better. We know it can be tough to pull the trigger on a local float, but this time its for a worthy cause. Take this opportunity to get brand new tips from people who spend over 150 days a year on the water, and support the conservation of the Clark Fork. Call today to book your seat on a guide boat.

The Party

It’s party time at the Missoulian Angler. Starting about 4:00 PM on April 4th, the Missoulian Angler will bust out some beer and start cooking. We’re going hard for the Clark Fork, and we hope you’re ready as well. Bring your appetite and your thirst, but also be ready to buy some raffle tickets. Make sure to scroll to the bottom of this page and take a look at the unique raffle items you can only find at the Missoulian Angler. You know we know how to throw a party! Come and have fun, but remember, this time its for more than just fun. We’ll see you on April 4th!

Pint Night

Please Join us for a special pint night at the Southside Kettlehouse on 3.25! We will be raising awareness, and a pint, for the Missoulian Angler’s and Trout Unlimted’s Clark Fork Skwala Fest. Proceeds will go towards TU’s Clark Fork River Projects! TU will be there presenting their various restoration projects and the Missoulian Angler will be selling raffle tickets for some killer items with proceeds going toward the cause.
