The Montana fishing season starts off during early Spring in Missoula. Missoula is one of few areas with an extended dry fly season which starts in March and goes all the way into November. In the tabs below, we’ve tried to summarize information on Hatches, Weather, Water Flows and Fishing for our Western Montana fly fishing region; Bitterroot River, Blackfoot River, Clark Fork River, and Rock Creek.
